JOIN THE PROJECT
Identities of Autism seeks to dismantle the stigma around disability by portraying how difference is beautiful. Through a global, self-expression photography portrait project, autistic individuals and autism families are invited to share the terminology they identify by and the language that empowers them. Sharing with the neurotypical world what autism really looks like moves us beyond awareness and into true acceptance. By showcasing the many faces and dimensions of autism, we begin to honor the range of variance that exists within the community. By giving all self-advocates the opportunity to participate and share their experiences, IOA illustrates the full spectrum of diversity within the individual, the autism community and the neurodiversity movement!
